When we started on our renovation, we didn't want to become one of those horror stories, but we didn't know how to avoid it! Kris and the team took us in hand, steered us the right direction, made sure we could actually afford to build what we'd planned, took care of consents and gave us a fixed price. They're lovely to deal with and operate with the kind of communication and integrity so rarely seen in the building industry.
Renovating a house can be very stressful, particularly when you don’t live in the same country as the property being renovated (and have never been through the process before). My rental property required a major renovation to return it to something I wanted to live in. Without question these guys delivered beyond my expectations. The quality was exceptional, communication was excellent, timelines were achieved and the customer service was outstanding. They took time to understand what I wanted, explained the process to me and provided a comprehensive quote; everything (including costs) was extremely transparent. Kris, Barb and the team were highly professional, friendly and flexible. They went beyond what was required to fit in with my last minute flights to Auckland. When I was in Auckland they met with me on weekends, otherwise we had phone calls in the evening to keep me informed of progress. In addition I could access regular updates and photos via the app (which is brilliant). Without question they made what could have been a very stressful process, simple and easy. The end result was a renovation that exceeded my expectations and it came in on time and on budget! Can’t ask for more than that.
The entire Team at My Home Renovations was a pleasure to work with, accomodating suppliers that I had chosen to complete parts of the work in the house. Communication with the project manager was prompt and smooth, including problem solving and coming up with creative solutions to issues that cropped up during the build/renovation. The workers in the house were friendly and more than happy to adjust to my schedule (which could be erratic due to work). Awesome service, would highly recommend. We found Kris and the team delivered on promises, they were proffesional throughout the whole process and always easy to contact. Online project management software was very useful to keep up to date with the project timeline and budget, we were kept fully informed of what was happening on our project on a daily basis. No having to guess and no chasing up the builders, communication was excellent! We are extremely happy with the quality of the end product.
I've used My Home Renovations a couple of times now & would highly recommend them to anyone planning to do renovations. They spent time understanding what my plans were, and my budget, then gave me great advice regarding my options. They provided me with a full quote - that I could understand i.e.not builders jargon! Having them project manage it all took all the stress away, so I could just admire the progress as it all unfolded. Kris & his team were friendly & respectful of my property & always left the site tidy at the end of the day. Ultimately the quality of the work they did was perfect, they ensured the finish & all the little details that I hadn't even thought of were completed. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again on any future projects.
