My treadmill arrived with a faulty piston on the stand used for storing the treadmill. The stand would not close so I removed the faulty part. Trying to communicate with this company is like drawing teeth. They either don't understand or don't reply because it's in the too hard basket. Cheap enough but poor backup.

I avoid going into this place unless I really have to to view equipment. I've been into the Penrose branch a number of times and honestly find the place very unprofessional and unpleasant. The young ladies are pleasant enough but on every occasion I have found the males to be unfriendly and too busy staring at you up down puffing their chests out comparing themselves to you instead of doing their jobs and offering you customer service. Too much testosterone for me I'm afraid.

Product (prorunner 4800 deluxe treadmill) is not very good quality despite the numerous reviews on their website that state otherwise. My guess is that they only put up the 4 and 5 star reviews and leave out the bad ones. You can hear the motor struggle with me on it, I'm 100kg and the max user weight for this treadmill is 150kg! Treadmill was broken out of the box (incline didn't work) after numerous phone calls and chasing up I finally had it fixed almost a month later. It is 4 months old now and the power switch has just failed. The warranty is return to base which means I will need to dismantle it to get it out of the house and haul the whole treadmill to penrose for the sake of a 5 switch replacement. My advice is save your money and buy better quality with an in home warranty.

Went into the store and was told that there were no boxing bag stands in stock, however on the website it explicitly stated there were two in stock therefore when we had purchased it online thinking the order had gone through. However, after calling the 0800 number we were told by dispatch in Christchurch that they had received our order but did not tell us that we would be charged freight as they would have to order the product from the Christchurch base. Also, were not advised in store of the lengthy process it would take in order to make shipping to Penrose from Christchurch that would take over 3-4months to appear physically in store ready for pickup rather were told it would take a week or so for new stock to come in. They failed to update their own database and failed to inform a customer who had already paid for the product of future costs that may be incurred. Annoyed however, thankfully the Christchurch Store was much more helpful and were able to fix problems created by purely ignorance alone. Please update your stock database and check with your manager before telling people false information, it's misleading and is not a great look. Love the products but Penrose inform your staff that improvements are needed. Cheers mate :)
