Great facility, comfortable and with good refreshments. The nurses who saw me were competent. Not the most friendly staff I’ve seen, but they were nice enough. Important to mention that I had booked an appointment in advance, I got here 15 minutes earlier, and still only seated to donate 40 minutes after my appointment time, so a bit of a long wait. But we don’t do it for them, we do it for those who need it, so it’s always worth the wait. :)

Went for the first time today. Didn't know what to expect as never given blood before (always wanted to though) but it went really well. I was given the idea that giving blood is a traumatic thing when the needle goes in etc (sort of like a necessary evil haha). However, the staff made me feel so relaxed and ended up having awesome chats with them and it was over by page 3 of my book So thank you to Nyreen, Luis and the guy whose name I forgot! Can't wait to help donate again :)

The best blood donation center in New Zealand!!! Awesome staff with excellent service... I was quite curious when I went to this place to donate plasma for the first time. Wendy and Sue took care of me and explained the procedures in detail. I will decided to donate plasma fortnightly hereafter.

My first time was better than the second but I’m definitely not coming back. I’m donating my time and blood to help people and they don’t care at all. The lady was very firm with me and got grumpy because my veins were hard to find. They are hard to find because I was very ill once and blood products helped me so I wanted to repay that but it’s difficult to find a place where you feel like you’re actually helping and not being a burden on the team. Pretty disappointing.

Great place, great staff. The whole blood, plasma and special donations are achieved in an increasingly comfortable environment - and supported by such dedicated front-line team members (phone, admin, receptioms) The refurbishment completed 2016/2017 pales in comparison to the 2019/2020 refurbishment work still in progress. I'm impressed with the dedication and passion of so many team members who must feel challenged by their changing and challenging work environment. Astute caring team members seldom show the pressures and discomfort they're experiencing - maintaining calm, pleasant, enthusiasm and professionalism.
