I studied the Diploma of Digital Marketing in 2018 and came out as Valedictorian upon graduating. My time at NZIE was amazing and I couldn't have asked for better tutors. I gained practical skills and industry knowledge, which helped me secure a job as a Marketing Manager for a business coaching & consulting company. NZIE was a positive experience for me. Classes were practical yet demanding, and I could learn about trends and subjects I would not have been able to understand by learning with Google since it is difficult to follow a path without a tutor leading a programme and clarifying doubts. This diploma is mostly theoretical and assessments are focused on real businesses, so it depends on graduates to get real-life experience. After finishing the diploma, I can promote digitally my own business or work as a digital marketing specialist. Tutors were very supportive, especially when covid times started, making the learning process online, which was handy, and comfortable for me. The assessments were demanding, so get ready to research, write loads and give 100% of your time if you enrol.

I graduated from the Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Business in 2018. I have an environmental science background and I had no previous significant experience in the business field. This was also the case of some of the colleagues in my cohort: engineers, nurses, teachers, dentists, to name only a few. Interacting with professionals from so many different areas of expertise, nationalities, and cultures was a very enriching experience and one of the highlights of the programme. These aspects together with the tutors' knowhow and the papers' content widened my understandings on management and leadership. The learning is based mainly on the practical application of the content and skills. The internship is a valuable opportunity to build professional experience in a New Zealand work environment. Another strength of the programme is the research papers. Albeit challenging, researching academic knowledge to apply in practical solutions for our host organisations provides gratifying results. Last but not least, I would not have made it if it was not for the kind and understanding support of the friendly staff. Moving overseas with family represents a brutal shift and NZIE always offered true pastoral care. I recommend this programme to anyone seeking for an open major and practical hands-on learning in the applied business including the opportunity to gain experience and eventually enter the job market through an internship in one of the many industry-partners available.

Had the pleasure of studying the Diploma in Digital Marketing. I came from a sales and management background and knew that this was the future of marketing and getting qualified was really important to me. My goal was to work remotely and run my own online business and having an understanding of how digital marketing factored into this was beneficial for me. Through my studies I had the privilege of learning from a great team of tutors and though working full time and studying part time, it was a big commitment and a challenge that I was able to achieve. The amount of information that I have learned through this programme has been immensely detailed and through my research and practical experience allowed me to understanding all factors involved in digital marketing. I am now currently project managing a couple of social media and email marketing projects for my company and after a much needed break will be working on my website and online business. When I was scoping where to get a Digital Marketing Certification from, I chose NZIE basis a few things: a) it provided a well-rounded course, offering multiple disciplines of subjects b) it is the first NZQA certified Level 7 programme with complete industry exposure c) I felt very welcome and connected during the orientation programme After having completed the course, I can totally say that I made the right choice. Back to school in NZIE has been great learning and so much fun. My personal favourite papers were Website Design by Emily Cordwell and Digital Design by Steve Punter.

It was awesome learning Digital Marketing Applied with NZIE. All what is required to get into the real time job is taught here. The lectures were all great and interesting. Tutors Rajika, Ema, Steve and Emily really drill down students and are available at anytime if we needed help in studies. During the lockdown even the online classes went smoothly and we could complete the course on time. I would genuinely recommend this school to study digital marketing.
