The oysters were fresh and juicy. All of the food was really good. Waiter was attentive and friendly. Overall I had a great experience there.

Came for a ladies lunch! Greeted by the lovely Wendy, who really looked after us! Great food and cocktails. Fabulous afternoon out!
I wish the service had been as wonderful as the food! I've only been to this restaurant twice and the first experience was great, though I will admit it wasn't me who fit the bill. Had I been the person to pay for it, I would have been extremely disappointed. I don't know what her name is, but the waitress that served my mother and I was rude, judgmental and so clearly bothered at having to work that night. For an occasion out, where you're paying around 500, you'd expect that the waitress would be more than happy to serve us. Especially given the current circumstances that have left many in financial stress, going out for dinner is a luxury. The food and view is amazing, I would kiss the chef if that were a thing. Having worked as a waitress myself, this persons behavior spoiled the experience. I felt helpless for my mother who paid for our meal and experience anyway. We left feeling embarrassed and we won't be returning.
It had been many years since we had eaten at Oyster and Chop and we were pleased to find the whole dining experience is still amongst the best in Auckland. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was exceptional. I can particularly recommend the Butchers Block as a fun shared dining experience for 2. The entrees we had we delicious also. Thanks Oyster & Chop for making my birthday dinner special.
Stopped in for dinner and to watch america’s cup racing. What a great spot. The desert cocktails lemon meringue and black forest were brilliant.
Finest dining experience in Auckland thus far. Menu options were sublime, service was thoughtful, friendly and ambience was extremely vibrant. Loved the steaks, peppercorn sauce and delightful appetizers. Will be back with family and for the oysters. It's a must!
My wife and I always go between 3 and 6pm to get the cheap oysters. You have to be seated in the bar. Steaks are great. Sides and sauces awesome. And a nice spot down in the viaduct. Go there you will not be disappointed
Shockingly rude. Called to reconfirm reservation for my son’s 7th birthday dinner. Talked to a lady named Wendy on the phone while driving, was told can’t find any booking (we booked a week ago and my wife actually called two days ago to confirm). No apologies whatsoever but asking me lower my voice and calm down (people can imagine my reaction but I did not abuse at all). I’m still going and I will meet this Wendy in person
