What a lovely little piece of history in the middle of Panmure. New Zealand should ensure historic places like this are preserved and maintained and in this case they do. On this note bring back the Panmure sign from the demolished roundabout.

The detail and craftsmanship is exceptional. A beautifully presented piece of local history with contributions from local families that have called Panmure home for many generations. It is only open one Sunday of every month which is quite sad as it smells quite strongly of damp and mildew. Absolutely worthy of your time. A picturesque and peaceful spot to let the world fall away for a little while.
It's quite pretty to look at, the whole story building has been relocated to it's current location, would have been a huge piece of work. It's open to the public, need to check the dates and times, as staffed by volunteers. Time I was there they were in period costume and we're keen to talk about their museum pieces
A part of local history, well worth the visit
Nice to see a bit of history
Nice place to visit. Kids will really enjoy this place. This place opens only for 2nd Sunday of each month. 11:00 to 3:00. I confirmed this information from Penmure Library.
An interesting place with local historic info and relics
Amazing example of a small home and all the comforts acceptable in previous times.
