We booked this trip for my birthday. By far the most we had paid for a charter and we have done many so for 250 pp, was expecting great things but was left disappointed. I caught maybe 1 or 2 undersized fish. I did email with some of the things I wasn't happy about and was told I would get a response once back in reception. To date, no response. Would not use again. Disappointing. :(

An amazing trip, well worth every penny! We started off seeing a big pod of dolphins that swam along the boat and jumped so close we could almost touch them. Then we got to a fishing spot and caught 54 fish in 45min. It was crazy fun!!

One of the best charters iv been on in New Zealand! The boat is awesome to fish on lots of room, Lots of big fish great equipment, very helpful skipper easy to talk to, highly recommend using Phoenix charters
I have been out with Phoneix Charters on several occasions. Brett was excellent at looking after my young daughter so that I could fish. Every time we have caught quota and decent size fish. My daughters biggest snapper was with this charter company, which with Brett's guidance she caught completely on her own. I have enjoyed several charter providers over the years - this one for many reasons is my favourite.
Pretty good charter, catch good amount of fish. Skipper gets really angry tho if you all go to one side to check out that catch, you’d think a boat that big would be stable enough for all to go one side and skipper also doesn’t like you bringing lots of beers but other then that he gets you on the fish which is the main thing I guess :)
