Left from public car park takes about 30min to walk to very edge and right of the carpark about 15 min to very edge. Can only access a small portion of the island as rest of it is private land and a waste processing factory. Views pretty good, smells a bit iffy but super quiet and feels sorta special.

Really nice place, but bit a pitty that there is only a small access to the island...
excellent view of Manukau Heads pity about the wind
A very quiet spot in Puketutu Island with stunning view especially at a sunny day. You can see lots of water birds around. And if you stay quiet for awhile you can start to hear other birds sings.
Nice chill spot to be in
Lovely place, flocks of black swans, Very few people there, planted out with native species of plants, nice walk .
First time for me to go there
From the carpark we walked left along a gravel road. The kids had sword fights with sticks, found crabs under rocks, and asked for piggyback rides. Twenty minutes later we reached the end of the road and were rewarded with 270 degree views across the Manukau Harbour. But all things considered, the Puketutu Island walkway is not one to write home about
