Location, parking, venue, atmosphere, service, staff, tea...... Perfect. Sad, but this is the best farewell I experienced.

The Purewa crematorium was built in 1957 and has undergone a number of expansions. Impressive garden location that is carefully maintained. Very helpful staff.

I never wrote it back 10 years ago but I remember seeing on the news that some plaques had been stolen from this cemetery, I phoned the cemetery to ask why didn't they tell me my plaque for my other half had been stolen... ? They requested some more money to have the plaque put back... what so it could be stolen again. Thankfully I had taken a photograph of the plaque but never again would I pay for something to go in a cemetery where people steal to have the metal melted down as scrap metal.

Quite a large cemetery that is divided into sections. Each section has a different burial types. Be wary that the road is generally one way since its fairy tight particularly with cars parked on the side. The main office is out front with the chapel.

the gentleman at office is the kindest man we met today. He opened the door for us even it was weekend and drawn the map for us. Later on he drove to find us and took us to the destination.
