QuakeTEC is a student lead team running a CubeSat nano-satellite mission as part of the APSS programme at the University of Auckland. Based on the mission proposal judged "Most Likely to Succeed" in 2017, our objective is to deliver one of the first NZ satellites into space successfully and to measure the electron content in the ionosphere with our ongoing mission. We endeavour to accomplish the following: • Investigate the link between seismic activity in the Earth's crust and variations in electron content in the Ionosphere • Inspire the next generation of students to drive the space technology industry in NZ • Contribute to the advancement of scientific research in space using low-cost solutions Our group formed from a competition held at our university, called the Auckland Programme for Space Systems (APSS).
