I ordered 3 dishes and specifically asked for mild, however all three were very hot - spicy and we were only able to eat a quarter of the butter chicken before our mouths were on fire. Butter chicken should not have been hot at all. Lack of meat, was appalling as I was able to count the pieces on one hand. There was also no butter on the Naan. Really disappointed and a waste of money as we threw the curries in the bin. My daughter and I ended up being very hungry! Staff should be very mindful when customers ask for mild, med or hot and cook accordingly to what the customer has requested, aIso ensure there is a good supply of chicken in the dish. I gave one star for the package of curries.

Normally I place a phone order for pick up but last time when I made an online order for delivery they accidentally missed my order. After a long wait for 1hr 53m I got my food with complementary crispy chips, and they offered 10% discount for next order. Anyway I’m highly likely to go back there for only one reason that their curry & nann are super tasty. definitely recommended.

Bad as it can get. Staff don't know the difference between hot and spicy when asked for mild food. Ordered 3 dishes hardly any meat. simple butter chicken was tomato chicken, no butter on butter naan, dry at you know what. Very bad experience, never ever go to this place

Paid 69 for 3 dishes, worst Indian food in 20years experience. Rude staff with little understanding of food and low patience. Tomato butter chicken and hardly any meat in other dishes. No butter on naan and were hard as leather. Thrown food in dustbin where it belongs. AVOID LIKE PLAGUE

Sages Restaurant review Up until recently my only experience with Indian cuisine had come from shopping malls and the odd take out. That all changed when a friend invited me to review Sages in Point Chevalier. Food The Mango Chicken I ordered was one of the best meals that I have had for a while. The meat was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of spices that helped to enhance the dish, without overpowering it. Everything I ate just seemed to come to life, from the moist and tender chicken, to the crispiness of the garlic Naan Bread. Part of that is down to the work of co-owner and chef Kamal Jhajj, who insists on using only the best ingredients in the dishes he creates, to the point where he’ll close the kitchen if he doesn’t have access to the freshest foods available. Setup The restaurant itself is deceptively nondescript, from the outside but becomes warm and inviting once I stepped through the front door. The low lighting and dark red wallpaper really gives Sage’s a romantic vibe that I liked a lot. The staff were friendly and efficient, with Kamal regularly coming out to see how we were, although I suspect it may have been because it was a slow Wednesday night. Conclusion As a reviewer I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to give restaurants a perfect 10, but Sage’s really nails it with its friendly service, delicious offerings, and romantic ambiance. 10/10

Had a lovely lunch here with a friend. Friendly service. We had the lamb curry with spinach (forgot the name) and the Aloo Gobi. Very tasty. Good portions, standard pricing. I think the takeaways are a little cheaper and have some special combos. We asked for medium but it was quite mild, would ask for at least Kiwi hot if you want a bit of spice.
