Shakespeare Beach is not only a "beach" but there is also great campsites here, so close to the beach, toilet and ample of space for the kids to play. For current pricung check Auckland council's website. I would gladly spend a couple of nights here, just a note it does get busy during weekends and public holidays.

A great place to visit and complete family outing park. Sufficient space to accommodate everyone and enough parking to accommodate approximately 1000 vehicles and very well organized. Great clean beach and gated park with restrictions on pets particularly dog so be mindful while planning the trip.

A great beach for families with very young children as there are no waves and the are lots of trees to provide shady places to picnic.

Not as great as it use to be swimming there when I was little. But the scenery is amazing

Amazing place. I couldn't see any life guards. You can't even take dogs even in side your car.
