Late 2018 we entered into a contract with David from Smuggler marine. They built us a fully surveyed Strata Sport RIB and managed to deliver the boat 3 days early, 2 months after signing. The effort and work that went into finishing the boat on time was above and beyond. The communication from David and Pauline was fantastic, giving daily photos and updates on the progress of the build. I have worked on superyachts for 13 years and the quality of workmanship and eye for detail surpassed any of the yachts I have worked on. The Strata Sport really delivers, seating 12 pax 1 skipper there is some decent weight on board - incredibly it uses half the fuel of our other tour boat. With a 250hp Suzuki it delivers great performance and jumps out of the pocket even fully loaded, the stability underway and stationary is excellent. We purchased a boat from Smuggler a while back and I can say after some years that it is absolutely bullet proof. The smoothest ride I've ever had in a boat, with a more than usual amount of space for fishing. It's also great for diving and spearfishing. These boats are epic. I'll get another one for around Auckland as soon as practically possible!
I brought the 720 last year and what a boat! Comfortable and safe, had a Bayliner before and I wont go back, the quality of the build is second to none, very happy
