I have been a client of the Sound Hope clinic for over 20 years now. I can highly recommend Dr He, Jenny and Winnie. I have greatly benefited from their wide range of treatment options, depth of knowledge and experience and excellent advice and aftercare. “Auntie”, also has great skill with the herbal remedies and it is apparent that everyone in the clinic lives there mahi/vocation and all work together to provide the highest quality of care. From massage therapy , to moxibustion, acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, to herbals - I have had the good fortune to experience traditional Chinese techniques that have been more effective than any pharmaceutical options in relieving musculoskeletal issues, a wide range of chronic and acute conditions, and upper respiratory illnesses. They are fully qualified and ACC registered and regularly update their skills and knowledge base. You will be in good hands with Sound Hope.

I have worked in hospitality for over a decade, long shifts on my feet, physical exertion etc. A little over 2 years ago I had an accident at work leaving me with chronic back pain that no amount of physio could relieve. Enter the Sound Hope team who immediately solved this long-standing problem and ever since have kept on top of the other aches and pains which come as part and parcel of the nature of my work. Regular (bi-monthly) acupuncture, moxibustion and cups allow me to work pain free. I highly recommend to all my friends and anyone who works in a physically labour intensive industry. Outstanding!

I am receiving treatment from Win for rebalancing and digestive complaints that relate to an injury I received several years ago. Win is knowledgeable professional in her practice. The treatments I received are more helpful than the 'western' medical treatments' previously received. I highly recommend Win and this clinic's treatments.
I first came to this clinic 2 years ago for acupuncture and have now am a raving fan of the chinese medicine and treatment and Sound Hope. Winnie is the best acupuncturist I’ve ever seen and Dr He is wonderful for chinese herbs. I’ve had severe insomnia treated, strep throat, the flu and other ailments with this traditional chinese medicine which is raw and much better than the premixed herbs. Very lovely and ethical people and I highly recommend over any other place.
I first came to see Winnie over 3 years ago with a shoulder injury. I was amazed with how quickly l started to feel better. After a chat l realised that l was treated by her father over 15 years ago in their family practice on Dominion Rd. When my parents visited from Wellington l recommended acupuncture to them. My father had problems with his back most of his life and he's been so happy with the treatment. And that's impressive for an older Polish person to admit. Just last year l pulled my shoulder and l saw another practitioner closer to my new job. I kept thinking about how much better Winnie at Sound Hope was in the past. Perhaps my injury was worse this time, l thought. After the exercise during the lockdown, l pulled a muscle in my leg which gave me sciatica. This time l went straight to see Winnie in level 1. She finished the treatment l was receiving elsewhere prior to the lockdown. Straight away l felt a huge relief. She really is the boss of her game! The sciatica pain eased immediately and after 2 weeks most of the pain is gone. Her lovely, caring and fun nature made me look forward to my treatment. Because she speaks fluent English she's been able to help with the holistic approach to health. I highly recommend this clinic.

Winnie was referred to me by my mother. Winnie is an amazing person with sound knowledge of both the Chinese and western treatments. She fuses together both practices in her treatments. I have been going to her for some years now and her diagnoses and treatment have healed my knees. She is very professional and educates you on how your body works and how to care for your body for ongoing good health. Her success and professionalism is evident in the fact that it is very hard to get an appointment with her because she is so much in demand. This can be credited to her treatments.
