This is a rip off. I went on a hunting trip. Before I went I called the insurance and explain my needs and cover. we agreed to a payment and I felt save for been responsible taking out a insurance on my trip. I had damaged to my scope and travel box for my rifle and was told that my scope is not covered I should have read page 63 that firearms is not covered. This is after explaining to them on the phone my exact need for my trip. I was even asked the value of my scope and my rifle.

I applied for SCTI Travel Insurance during my first visit to New Zealand as an international student. The customer service is great and I receive my claim usually around a month from my submission. The process is easy and fuss free, and all my submissions were appoved. As someone with pre-existing conditions, it is a relief knowing that the insurance company is supportive of me. No one likes to visit the doctor but it is not a choice decided by us, particularly when you have chronic conditions. I am so thankful to SCTI for reimbursing my medical expenses which enables me to study with less financial pressure and health worries. Although I am currently with another company, recommended by the university, I am planning to change back to SCTI when my insurance period expires.

Southern Cross Travel insurance staff have shown endless patience and professionalism in handling my mother's insurance.I was kept informed about the process and time lines and am very happy with the outcome. SCTI Is been an amazing Travel Insurance company claiming of refund pretty much easy provided just give them the correct & right supporting documents for the claim.

As my travel insurance claim was sent in just before .covid19, I just let it ride as I knew they would be very busy. I soon got a confirmation of receipt and then my claim was accepted. Within a week, I 'received another email saying that I had been underpaid. This was all paid I to my account immediately. The service was very good and there were no problems at all. I would definitely are my use them again as my travel insurer.

Travelling overseas in October and have booked flights. I sent Southern Cross an email asking a simple question regarding travel insurance. They say they aim to respond within three days. It's been six days. I followed up with another email and to date no response. I've been waiting on the phone for 25 minutes hoping to get an answer this way. Still waiting. About to hang up and go elsewhere.

SCTI Is been an amazing Travel Insurance company for me and my family. We aim to go overseas at least once per year and every time I’ve been claiming any of the issues they cover on my policy is been refund pretty much instantly without doubts. I really appreciate to have companies like SCTI to work with. Happy to recommend then :) I can’t think in any issue or bad experience from them through the years. 100% sure I will hire their services again as soon as the world gets back to freedom from Covid-19
