Horrible experience today. I had already been in to choose frames. Appointment today was to check my prescription and buy one pair of glasses. The sales girl pretended she couldn’t find my favourite choice of frame. I know why - because it was cheap - she pointed out it was plastic. I didn’t know there was anything other than plastic in the shop! She even tried to tell me I had chosen that frame two years ago and that’s why it was no longer in the store. I encouraged her to go back in to the store to find the frame I wanted. It was still there from two weeks ago of course. I was then manipulated into buying two pairs of glasses when I only needed one. So all my Southern Cross is now used up on stuff I didn’t need! Dreadful marketing ploy! Avoid this business. They are a ripoff! I am an older lady and was there on my own. Found it difficult to assert myself against these sales techniques.

Great place to buy specs. You can pair of specs from 69 to 499 dollars. Amazing place with variety of options to choose from.

Walked into the store and was warmly greeted by Gagan. Explained that I was after some soft silicone nose pads for my glasses and sunglasses. “Not a problem, I’ll do it right now, please take a seat”. Now that is service! Not even 5 minutes later, two new sets of nose pads and an offer to change them out once they become to hard again, which will happen. Thanks Gagan!

Customer service doesn’t exist. They never answer phones or reply to phone messages. They have plenty of sales staff to take your money but no staff to deal with issues! I’ve given up, heading to another optometrist!

Worst customer service 1. Don't answer their phone 2. My brother has waited over a month to get his glasses sorted (In the specsavers in Hamilton I walked in and came out with my new pair of glasses within an hour) 3. I've already used contacts. I just want to pick up the trial lenses, but they won't let me they tell me I have to book an appointment to get the trial lenses - which involves picking it up and them showing you how to put it in (which I already know how to do). The thickest staff I have come across. Don't bother with this specsavers.

From Specsavers Optometrists - Sylvia Park Mall 'At Specsavers Optometrists - Sylvia Park Mall, we bring you high standards of service and expertise in eye health. Our store is locally owned by an optometrist whose priority is to provide best in class service. Book your eye test today in our Auckland, store or visit us and view our range of top quality glasses and contact lenses.' From my experience to be honest, they not even close to what they said and not even deserved 1 star. Really waste my time to see them today. Ruine my day.

They don't take calls. Yes if you press 1 then they will. And then put you on hold for ages to tell you the person in the next room is not answering. And that they will call you back.Which never happens. The "Reception" cannot answer simple questions related fo the service or brand. And the time they take for each and everything. What a shame to the brand.
