I had never heard of St Anthony’s before they opened up their non-takeaway store so was intrigued to give it a go when it popped up on my radar. Mary’s Pork Stew was the standout for us but we couldn’t fault the Koththu or Street Food Platter either. As of writing this, St Anthony’s are on Zomato Gold so definitely recommend giving it a go sooner rather than later :)
Our Sunday Family lunch was at St Anthony's in Kingsland. We started off with crispy and hot Ulundu Wades which was absolutely awesome. The Mains were Chicken Koththu & Prawn Fried Rice for the children and Rice and Curry and also a Delicious Pork dish made to a Home recipe, for us. The portions were large and the food was simply out of this world. The kids mentioned that the food tasted very authentic and reminded them of the Lunch and Dinner outings we had back in SriLanka. The staff was extremely warm, courteous and prompt. We will definitely be back . Thank you.
Excellent new business. My curry dinner was a little spicy for me and without a complain staff offered a milder option and Lemongras drinks for the table and even refunded the meal. All without a complain. Super start for this new business, happy to keep supporting them.
Delicious simple authentic food. Super friendly. Great value. No liquor licence just yet. We had a drink next door. Then ate here. It all worked out just great. Thanks Btw the stairs are just fine. Typical for around here haha
Was strolling through kingsland with my husband we decided to try St Anthony's and I am so pleased we did. For a main I had traditional Sri Lankan curry and rice, ( it was 4 curries) and my husband had traditional pork stew, they were big servings, and tasted amazing. The food was beautifully presented and reminded us of Sri Lanka. It was complimented by the beautiful setting and ambient atmosphere . What a lovely evening out, and for a great price.

My Girlfriend and I were wondering through Kingsland looking for somewhere to go to dinner to celebrate a good day when we came across this fine establishment. We were greeted by a very cheerful man, Lakshan, who from the time we arrived to the moment we left, made us feel looked after and valued; more on this momentarily. Firstly the decor was tasteful, well lit and a plentiful supply of healthy plants of all different types which was certainly a hit. (Can never go wrong when dining amongst greenery by and large) I must say that when I saw another people comment on the staircase I was rather surprised, I found them entirely fine. The Food! oh the food, it was excellent, I started with the fried chicken which was delicious, juicy, tender, and full of flavour, I enjoyed the new flavour combinations, and it was certainly the best Sri Lankan food I have ever had. For the main I had a pork dish, it was Lakshan's mother's style with delicious rice, pork and dhal and it was absolutely divine. The pork was tender and full of flavour, and the rice fluffy. My Girlfriend had vegetarian stir fried noodles with vegetables which she described as "light, fresh and packed with flavour" We also tried the plain and egg hopper, both where a new experience for us, and we where not disappointed. They where crisp flavourful and delicious. Overall an absolutely amazing experience that we cant recommend enough. We will be going back soon, eager for more.
