We came by for dinner after a futsal game. The menu is quite big and there is a large selection of tasty sounding dishes. We had a friend who was a regular here order dishes for us to share. The menu had the individual plates served with rice, fried rice or fried/soup noodles. We ended up getting dishes which is easier to share. They also did hotpot but we didn't go for it since it was a bit hot. After ordering we got a tofu entree as a gift. That was actually quite nice since it had a nice flavour from the braising liquid and the tofu was quite silky. I really liked the deep-fried and salted fish fillet. It had a nice crispiness and flavour. The eggplant with mince and the green beans with mince was also quite nice. The satay beef with vermicelli was interesting, satay flavour in a soup. This was a really nice place for a fairly cheap dinner.

One of my favorite places to eat in Auckland! Despite it's an old fashioned one with it's long history in the business there are so many goodies listing on the menu. Especially Cantonese hotpot, inexpensive but super delicious! Lunch special 8.8 you get a black pepper beef rice. It's cheap but don't worry it doesn't mean the quality goes down, tasty as it should be. See?! I even forgot to take pictures of the foods we ordered today. Anyway, just go and try you will definitely like it.

Below average, I ordered grill pork chop on rice. The colour is weird so as the taste. I was wondering who will come again after this kind of experience. I was so hungry but can’t force myself to finish even half of it. Forget this shop and don’t recommend to anyone who wants a decent Cantonese meal.

Was looking for a affordable lunch in the 1hr break between lectures and saw Sunrise Cafe. Was recommended the chicken noodle soup that could be prepared quickly. Paid 5.80 and got the largest bowl of noodle soup I had seen! Highly recommend for affordable and delicious eats

Cheap lunch place. Beef noodles at a price of 6.80NZD. Although the beef was a little bit tough, the portion was amazing for a 7 dollar dish. Good broth as well
