Great friendly service!! All costs presented before any work was done (including the highest amounts should the work be more involved) amazing reassuring dentist and nurse!!! Always been nervous going to the dentist thanks to bad school experiences but very pleased with my pain free extraction today!!! Also love the new shop!!! Will be back once this one heals

Visited this place second time and also last time! Both time the owner did my teeth. Being new to the area, I was searching for a new dentist and soon became disappointed with my decision here. Place is very overprice (try to rip me off) and owner is certainly money hungry. First visit was for a deep clean for a top jaw only - 230 for 20 mins work (10 mins xray paperwork). 5 days after the visit, my gum was still bleeding heavily (literally like a vampire and I tried to avoid smiling at all cost as it scared people off - sounds funny now but it was scary!). Leading to day 6 - 7, it started healing when I was so concerned and was about to arrange a further check up. Almost a year after this experience, I give it another go, hoping it will be a better experience this time. Rang their number, asked for the normal scale polished without Xray and advised between 160-180. Total time there was 30 mins: 15 mins work 10 mins wait 5 mins break. To my surprise, the bill was 200 (owner did not inform me pricing prior the work). When telling them that I am not happy with the price, I was advised it is their normal price. Told them not any other places I have been charged me that much for just the scale and polish (I paid 180 in the CBD, 160 in Mt Wellington incl Xray and exam), the owner then said 200 usually incl the exam too but mine didnt need to and it took longer to clean my teeth ??! At least my gum only bleeding a wee bit now. Thank you and good bye!
Went in for a tooth extraction that turned out to be alot harder than anticipated!! I felt completely taken care of - I was constantly checked if I was ok, and we got there in the end. I was given detailed information about my choices available and after care. Will definitely be going back!
Aisha and Ramneet were absolute gems to deal with ! I got a wisdom tooth extraction and didn’t even notice my tooth was out, that’s how fast and efficient the service was. Would recommend 11/10 ️
Can be a long wait at times
Got my filling done here. It was a pleasant experience, didn't hurt and the nurse and dentist were gentle and helpful too. It did however seem quite rushed. The clinic is very busy, and I went at a time where the dentist had so much appointments before and after me. So, I had to wait 15mins past my appointment time, but the receptionist was upfront and honest with me about the status on time, so I didn't mind. The dentist did a good job, just very quick. I do very much recommend using this dentist as it is so very hard to find a good one in Auckland. I have been to so many places and no one seemed trustworthy. Every dentist is after the money and quotes so much more than necessary on a extraction. Takanini Dental Care doesn't do that. You can be confident that they will provide you with the best service and care, and not empty your wallet on the way.
Seven years ago I was terrified of dentists. I advised Dr. Hasan of this and at my first appointment Dr. Hasan and his assistant were so gentle and lovely to me! I have never been to another dentist that makes me feel so calm and comfortable when I'm completely freaking out. Thank you so much again for last weeks appointment! I cried the whole way driving home because I was so happy at how I can smile confidently again. THANK YOU!
Just been down to have a filling replaced after losing it , not my normal dentist. Dr Aisha Ali and her assistant both made me feel welcome, explained my choices all round a good experience. Reception also great , thanks you .
