Had the pie, pastry was very nice, but filling was dry & tasteless, for 7 a bit of a flop, didnt see any pumpkin or vegtables, nice hard seating under awnings in the sun. Wednesday 26 June 2019.

We had limited time in Auckland and we had my Wife's mother & sister out from Japan & they wanted to experience some authentic Food & NZ flavours of the famous "Hangi". When we arrived at the wharf precinct (The Maori Kitchen) the lady had sold out of everything. We got to chatting how much we were looking forward to the experience and the the lovely lady offered us a huge plate of the chicken & pork meat that she had left in the Bay Marie she also served us salad. Couldn't have been more happy we also bought the desert Kai Reka - chocolate pudding with warm custard. Really enjoyed the earthy flavours and the fact that this lady went out of her way to please us‼️

Got the hangi mini with just pork. It's a clean and wholesome meal with good balance between savory starches and the bright bitters. The meat was tender, but I forgot to add a bit of salt. It's almost like Thanksgiving in a bowl.

Went to their new store in the Northwest shopping centre Westgate and ordered the Hangi Tuturu. Good value, tender meat, fresh and has that hangi taste. Highly recommended.

Was a bit disappointed the meal didn't have a earthy taste, tasted more like a roast.
