Did you know they have a piano in their establishment? And free wifi? You can also donate your old books to them too! I wish i knew this as a student. A tranquil place to relax with a book in a quiet corner, I'd definitely recommend this to locals and tourists alike! Amazing.

In our spare time, me and my friend like to come here and browse on the thousands of books available here. Such nice atmosphere, staff was always friendly and warm. I was surprised when I got a bookmark after purchasing. Nice touch! We haven’t got the chance to visit when they’ve got events happening, but will do soon.

This place is a book lover's heaven. It's in an old villa, and every room is full of books of different varieties. There are some absolute gems to be found, and because the books are second hand the prices are low. Saving the environment and your wallet! Be prepared - it's very hard to sneak in and out in just a few minutes. Time disappears in this shop.
Without a doubt this is Ponsonby's most hidden gem. The Open Book may look unassuming from the outside but as soon as you enter, you're treated to a tranquil haven, especially if you're a book lover. There's 7 rooms lined with books of every genre, chairs to get comfy in, and free coffee to keep your mind sharp. My personal favorite however is the sunny backyard garden with beanbags; nothing quite like reading a good book in the sun's warmth. Thanks for a great time!
I already did a review on this bookshop in their Facebook but this bookshop is worth the extra effort. Such a great place to find classics that are still in great condition. Sharon was a great help when I was trying to find books, their customer service is top notch.
