Amazing food, so many options and portion sizes. Really good wine list and nice ambience. The staff are really friendly. Parking not too bad as it's near a few side streets as well as paid parking on ponsonby road

Stunning food! We had the Pizza and Salad both spectacular. They were generous portions so we really didn’t need the sides. Service was absolutely 5 star. Will certainly be returning

This place nestles in a bracket alongside SPQR and Prego on ponsonby road; the food and the service was good, the only detractor is that tables are quite close together to maximise covers which prevents an otherwise intimate evening. Good wine selection and nice decor. Good for groups as opposed to couples

I booked a table for 5. 2 adults and 3 kids to celebrate my wife's birthday. Before I went there, I called them to find out if I can bring a cake. They have no issue with that at all. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly staff and they took us to our table. They were very friendly and accommodating. They went through the menu with us and they were willing to prepare fish and chips for our little one. We ordered a chef special entrée which is pork meatball with tomato sauce and fried sage; a fish and chips, a confit duck with asparagus, peas, French lentils and quince jelly; a market fish which is john dory and a chargrilled medium rare eye fillet with chunky chips and herb-garlic butter. The mains are abit small in portion but they are very nice. After our meal, they prepared the cake and even lighted a candle for us. We have a good time. We will come again.

I had a birthday dinner here last night with a friend and had the best experience! Staff were AMAZING and catered to my request to have a candle on the pudding for my friends birthday :) (Shout out to our waiter - didn't catch his name but he was a lovely bald guy - SUPERB customer service) Food is delicious! Highly recommend! I'll be back again with a group of friends :)

After our baby free night out started off a bit murky, Ponsonby Bistro came to the rescue and delivered on point! From the moment we walked in, we were not only greeted by a lovely warm atmosphere but also very welcoming staff. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable (shout out to Valentina), thanks for a great night

The service was top notch and the food was amazing! Relatively high prices but it's worth the dim lit atmosphere and vibe. The menu changes around seasonally which keeps the place diverse and they use a lot of unique fragrant ingredients that make the dishes pop. Would definitely recommend a date night here
