Great little venue with a great bar. The live music setup is good and you can't be too far away from the stage in such a small place which gives it a great vibe for live gigs. Sound quality is great too.
The Thirsty Dog has become a mecca on the local scene for awesome music and importantly, a casual and supportive venue for NZ's professional and emerging artists. The staff work their collective arses off to create a stage for musicians and other artists to thrive. The Thirsty Dog is all about the music first and foremost. It's not too flash, and it's absolutely authentic.
