Me and my flat (5 total) went for a 10 day trip around the North Island in one of the Hi-5 campers. It was a super amazing trip and the van was awesome. We found that the solar power was super effective, we never went under half battery when using as much as we wanted to. Van was in excellent condition and drove really well. the only down side was that the table was rather wobbly which made playing board games a bit of a challenge but not a big issue. The staff at the pick up and drop off were super helpful and friendly. Overall a super great experience and would highly recommend.

Hired a camper van for a week to travel around the North Island and everything was great. They were quite accomodating with the no-touch late pick up and early drop off and the campervan itself drove well with no mechanical issues. Overall, would recommend to people looking to get out and explore!

Travellers Autobarn in Mangere Auckland... I would just like to express my experience, I had borrowed a vehicle for the long labour day weekend, (LAS 982) booking number (12673) Travellers Autobarn is most probably the cheapest rental company in Auckland currently hence why we choose this rental company. I arrived at the Auckland branch at 10AM for pick up and I was attended to until 1 hour later..... which was very annoying as there were about 10 other couples waiting to be served too... finally was served and it only took 5 mins for us to be seen which was ridiculous I had waited 1 hours just to be checked in within 5 mins.... condition of the car was clean, but when you look closely tires weren't in great shape, rego sticker was not up to date, or displayed.. yes I understand that due to covid, staff had to be let go, but I strongly believe I would have given 5 stars if you had more staff, I could see staff cannot handle the demand currently... travel in around new Zealand is still on demand and we can travel anywhere, so if you could increase more staff then I believe that travellers barn would deffinitly hit its sales again.. the more staff, the better trust me. Me and my friend decided to do a tour through New Zealand. We searched for different companies offering camper vans. Since we were not 21years or older we chose Travellers Autobarn for a affordable pricing without any extra fees for young drivers. The staff was nice and friendly as we got it in Auckland and also brought it back in Auckland. We were able to drive and had a nice trip. The only negative point was the bad isolation, so it got pretty cold inside the van in the nights on the south island. We asked them to look after it and maybe fix this.
