Love this place. This is a go to place for a cheap but filling Asian meal. Love it because its never over crowded. They have changed the inside slightly. Much better. Even the service is faster and more helpful. I rate Otahuhu Vietnamese a 4.

One of the best in Auckland. Great fast service. food is tasty and with full of flavours. Generous portions. And they also had their restaurant re furbished.

Viet Caf is a staple to South Auckland. You have all walks of life come here for the authentic, delicious cuisine, the great service and the consistency. My fave to recommend that goes done a treat for anyone who orders it is... - Spare rib egg noodle soup - Fried wontons - Fried spring rolls - and 2 drinks Lemon and Soda (must have) and either a Coconut smoothie/ Jack fruit Smoothie. Give it a go you will not regret it I promise.

Ok. Seems this place is no longer run by Vietnamese, if it was previously I can"t say, but the waitress had no idea what pho was. Eventually we found it on menu as as beef noodle soup. The broth was good, albeit not clear and only the faintest hint of cinnamon, more of a rich meaty style, and the meat was excellent quality. However spring rolls were def not Viet style, so I'd say this place is more a generic asian/Chinese version of Vietnamese food...sort of.... Two soups and an entree 40.

Me and my family are regular visitors to Otahuhu Vietnam Cafe. Me, my cousin's and Uncles and Aunts of similar age have all had our turns in the wooden high chairs when we were babies, the eldest of us all is my uncle who is 27 years old. We usually come here after picking up a family member from the airport as they are usually craving some food from Vietnam Cafe or for birthdays or just a weekend treat which is always nice as we live all the way in Riverhead which is near Kumue. I usually order Vietnamese Noodles, Spring Rolls, fresh rolls, combination on rice and Jackfruit smoothie. The wait for the food is well worth it because the food is delicious. I have been to Sam woos but I am a traditional girl and I prefer Vietnam Cafe by far. Lovely staff also.
