What a dump!!! I like to start with a joke! I hear that can draw people into the review. In all seriousness, it was a great dump. If I didn’t have the inorganic collection booked in I would have totally dumped more, but I just added a few empty cardboard boxes to my friends trailer load. We had hired a caged trailer from Mobil earlier in the day, because last week we ripped down a tree house at my friends house, so we had a lot of timber to dump. Let me say this, bringing down that tree house has really opened up the front yard of my friends house, so getting rid of the lumber was really a great result all round. Those empty boxes I was telling you about were from some recent delivery’s from a baby registry, (my partner and I are having a baby any day now!!!) we had received a few big ticket items and my recycling bin is already full of cardboard (recycling isn’t collected until next week!) Helpful courtesy brooms were available for use (free of charge), which we used to sweep out the caged trailer which we had hired from Mobil. Can’t wait to dump again.

Good recycling materials if your looking at things for a project, tonnes of items for less than nothing. Was after some paint and we got 2litres for 10. Lots of other things. Well set out and staff are helpful and friendly. Online its says they close 6pm, its actually 4.30pm but best to give them a call on (09)8365048 as the number on the website goes straight to Auckland council.

I had a great experience at the dump today. It was a real hotspot as people were out in force getting rid of all kinds of rubbish. There is a great one way system for ensuring good traffic flow. My friend Jimmy and I went around the one-way system 3 times, firstly to dispose of an old tree house we had demolished, then the second time some cement (this goes to a different area of the dump), and then on the third lap, we swung by the dump store aptly named ‘Tipping Point’. I was looking for a computer monitor and Jimmy was just having a general peruse. He had a bit of a jam on one of the acoustic guitars that was there, and on sale for 30. There is a really great taco place nearby! But, it was closed today because it’s closed on tuesdays. Jimmy and I have vowed never to return to the dump on a Tuesday! That is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. Adrian at the kiosk was pretty personable, and certainly felt a lot friendlier than the waitress where we went and ate dumplings (coincidence!) afterwards. A great day

Just went to drop off excess cardboard recycling. Wasn't aware you had to wear enclosed shoes, so had to go home to get some and come back, but all good. Was told by one lady when I got there (as stipulated on the website) that the first 20kg of cardboard is free, the cost thereafter is dependent on the weight. However, another lady who charged me on my way out (after my vehicle was weighed again), did not deduct the 20kg, so I paid for the full weight. Didn't notice until I'd left, so not happy about that. Otherwise the staff are nice and overall it wasn't a bad experience :)

Needed to get rid of some cracked mirrors and glass table tops. Easy process, reverse up to the gate and throw it in! The people were very friendly, and much cheaper than we thought. Only 8.50 for 2 large mirrors and 2 glass table tops.
