It’s new and it’s huge. Awesome place to take the kids for a weekend play day. Lots of activities for big and smaller kids, they are seperate areas so it’s safer for smaller children. Being next to the Zoo and Western Springs makes it super easy to switch to something else if you get bored of the playground itself. If you’re planning to go, just know you can’t park next to the park, gotta park on Great N Road or Motions Road and walk to the playground - it also gets REALLY busy on the weekend so plan your visit.

One of Auckland's great spots - loads of birds kicking it on the lake. Take a stroll amid beautiful trees and tranquil lake settings. Awesome for a picnic, party, get together or a romantic time with your chosen and preferred.
Brand new playground in an old school iconic park. The lake and walkways around it are the same but the playground has now been supercooled! With two massive slides, a music area, a big round swing and lots lots more the kids will love it. You get a funky smell if you stand in the middle which hasn't faded much over multiple visits, maybe from the ground plastic surfacing? Hopefully it will disappear one day. And lots of picnic and sitting areas on the periphery without the smell.
Great place to take the family for a picnic and a stroll around. Pack the bikes and scooters too cause there's plenty of room to ride around! The playground is currently being upgraded (due to finish end of Jan) it looks amazing. We walked around it a couple of days ago and the kids are excited to head back once its open.
I call it "the duck lake" for a while, but it actually the swan lake... Very beautiful piece of land. Although the playground is under upgrade construction, that doesn't stop me to enjoy the scenery. I will never feel bored to take pictures or take a long walk here.
Lovely park and playground for the kids and relaxing for parents too with coffee and ice creams available at adjacent shop on zoo boundary. Just obey the signs and don't feed the wildlife on the water!!
One of my favourite parks in Auckland. It is lovely to take a leisurely stroll by the lake, enjoying peace and tranquility. The beautiful black swans roam the lake gracefully, I call it "Swan Lake".
