The meal here was terrific. Recommend to make a reservation because it can get very busy. I did not make a reservation so really appreciate the effort made to get us a table for four! Thank you!. Orders were taken promptly and the wait was not too long. Good food takes time right. A small misunderstanding with our order was quickly resolved. We had a chicken schnizel smothered in cheese. Rib and buffalo wing combos and full portion calamari rings. There is ample parking albeit a bit tight. Highly recommended for an iconic South African experience a long way from Africa.

Among the best steaks you can order anywhere in Auckland. I've been a semi regular diner here since Spur opened a few years ago. They certainly had their problems in the beginning, but they've improved leaps and bounds. Last night's experience just highlighted for me how far they've come. The young man who was our waiter is a credit to Spur. Unfortunately I didn't get his name, but he deserves a lot of credit.

Was looking forward to eat at a spur again, food was good with good portion of chips and onion rings. Was sadly disappointed with pink spur sauce, tastles and very thin! Nothing like how it normally taste. Bathroom not very clean.

Comfort food you can do once in a while. Good service. Yummy and reasonable priced. Huge space. Very comfortable seat. It’s not a fine dining place, this for everything I have experienced, it’s a 5 star.

My partner and I often come here on Wednesday night to order our favourite burgers. However, this evening after waiting 10 min to be seated was not a usual busy Wednesday night, we ordered our drinks which came reasonably fast, but one of the drinks we ordered was forgotten, we saw it sitting there for 10 minutes by the time we received it, it was diluted due to the ice melting. After a 50 minute wait we finally recieved our food (yes, it is busy on wednesdays but by this point there were not many people left in the restaurant) it being over cooked and oily and were not able to finish it. The bathrooms were dirty and no toilet paper. It was was my partners birthday we let the staff know as we arrived , after all the waiting they finally came to us after 5 other tables just before 9 pm to sing , was over it all especially after all the waiting for food. What has happened to Spur , honestly so disappointing.

Awesome if you have kids! Outside playground, playstation and no one cares if they make a lot of noise. Probably not that great if you don't have kids. Very good chips, burgers, ribs. We didn't do steak or dessert. Service was really good, friendly and attentive, more so than last time we were here.
