Almost the old tutors have gone while I am still doing my course. The new tutor can't be able to answer your questions ,also don't well know about the course material provided. You have to help yourself out by google. The content inside the Web development and design course LV5 which I am studying contain a lot of external links lead to W3School which is free and videos from LinkedIn (basically you have to study by following videos on LinkedIn. Lack of student support. Conclusion \u003eDON'T RECOMMEND

I studied a level 5 diploma here in 2014-2016. Flew through the course with no problems. Instructors were all very helpful if I was ever stuck on a module topic. Since then I've been doing paid IT contracting work with various IT companies which computer power has connected me with. About to start a level 7 diploma in network engineering part-time while I carry on working as an IT Technician part time.

Have done a holiday gateway course at computer power plus and I was very disappointed with what we learnt. We were promised certain courses that were changed last minute. We were taught basic computer management such as cleaning and how a mouse sends its movement to a computer. And on top of all that the teacher we had was very bias and got a lot of information wrong that I corrected leading her to dislike me. Definitely do not recommend for gateway and I don't believe I would want to go back to study.

I was very lucky to have a friend who studied with the institute and told to me to invest my time somewhere else. He gave me his books to look at and the material isn't even relevant to the industry anymore because its 5 years old. I was told that students have to have a finished lot of code that looks exactly like the answer in the teachers book, this isn't right. Each programmer has their own style and there was a lot of code that could have been condensed making the work smaller but still having a functioning program

I studied level 5 systems technology and level 6 Network engineering, it was a great experience for me and a challenging one!! I really like the self-study system if you are good in time management definitely CPP is your choice. All the staff and the students are very friendly.

I have no direct experience with this school, but... As a contributor to a JavaScript programming forum, I (and others) have found students from this institute asking for help and showing some of the coding examples they are being forced to learn. To say that the JavaScript being taught is out of date is an understatement. It is essentially useless to learn some of the techniques this institute is foisting on poor unsuspecting students, who will have to then UN-learn so much and instead learn how to do things the correct and modern way. That any school does this is sad, but all too common without outdated textbooks and instructors that simply don't work in the industry. That a school that calls itself "Computer Power" would do this is especially heinous. If this school has any kind of government approval, it should be withdrawn now and until the staff is trained in modern coding techniques.
