WTE has created a common language for our entire school - students and teachers - to learn and grow in our understanding of Writing. Essentially, it has directed our school framework for Writing with a pathway from Year 1-13. The PD is practical with in-class coaching and modelling, personalised training for meeting differentiated needs across our kura and you can access resources ready to use in the class immediately. The team at WTE are dedicated and passionate about Writing. It rubs off. They are practitioners themselves, and model delivery of the programme. Our HoD English validated his learning by saying it is the best PLD he has received for Writing, ever. A Year 7&8 teacher asked why we hadn't been taught how to teach Writing like this years ago. The outcomes for our students is becoming more and more evident each term. They are confident in discussing concepts such as expansion and precision appropriate to their level of learning and can implement these skills accordingly with increasing accuracy. This is true for our staff also! I can honestly say WTE is demystifying Writing at our kura.

I am a 4th year Law and Commerce undergrad student at Auckland Uni. The change in expectations between my writing at high school and university was definitely a challenge. The 'Write That Essay! Tertiary Ed' definitely saw me through. I cannot recommend this book enough for help with degrees that require writing to be produced at a high standard.
