Not sure what was here before Zambrero, seems like every time I walk down Elliot St some new place is there and a couple of old ones are gone. Of course pleasantly surprised that a funky Mexican place has managed to sneak in, and I remember these guys from Britomart or somewhere. They are a fresher version of Mexicali done right and all the menu options looked good. I went for the healthy bowl and even though the chicken mixture looked odd, the whole ensemble was delicious. Def great quick lunch spot for us roving hungry amateur diners.

if you are looking for a fast, delicious and cheap lunch break you should pick this place. there is a fixed menu that you can personalize choosing within various ingredients available ( meats, rices, fresh tomatoes or green salad, creams and beans ). guacamole is apart. tacos, nachos, burritos etc at a cheap price and available to take away as well!!! for a chicken chiquito we spent about 10 NZ . In auckland you can find few of them all over the city!
