Drive to Stokes Valley and you find a hidden treasure. Place filled with peace, nature and happiness. Best place to meditate and find serenity. This is one of the place my mind and body wanted to stay.

A source of spiritualism for many Asian communities as well as local. Monks from all over the world including Thai, Japan, Western, and more are there but everyone changing. Morning Alms/service starts at 10:30 so if you'd like to join be there by at least 10:20. If you'd like to participate in offering food, then be there by 9:30 or 10 (depending on if you need time to prepare your food offering). The kitchen is very busy but some days there are very few people so you may be asked to help with cooking and preparing food, but most of all, help with doing dishes after! There's always lots to do if you enjoy hands on helping After alms (offering food for the monks) there is a very short talk in English and then a short blessing for laypersons and then you leave the Monks to eat and go back to the kitchen to enjoy the food with lovely friendly people. Then they clean up and then you can leave or stay on for some personal prayers or self meditation in the main hall or private areas around the temple. On a nice day the walk around the forest areas is serene. There is a library you can go and read or study dharma. It's a really calming place for meditation or just some peace. Don't be shy to join in. People there will always welcome you and guide you through whatever you're seeking Donations of supplies are always welcome but not necessary. They have a website that tells you supplies that are needed (and not needed). Stocks are well kept and any surplus is donated to food banks and the needy There is no waste
