Beautiful high country lake. Has a public toilet. Can load and unload boats from the beach. Can be very exposed with the wind and water temperature is low

Awesome little lake, lovely with snow around. Fishing is pretty good with trout been there in big numbers. Just make sure it's not to windy before you go the with disk and very cold temperatures can blow through. But scenic and a great place to stop and take some photos.

A beautiful lake! I've had many great memories growing up and coming to the lake. This truly is a remarkable place. Just across from the main entrance is a small lodge perfect for family, church, school camps etc. Pro tip: visiting in winter offers a chance to see snow all around (very cold) and even the possibility that most of the lake will be frozen over. If it's frozen enough some people can even ice skate on it.

One of my fav drives close to home... The drive through to lake Coleridge is fantastic, nice easy gravel road, open only during good weather, dropping some pressure from three makes the corrugated road much more comfortable.

I went there for a picking and fishing . Disaster .There was power boats everywhere .Extremely loud.Someone have to step in and close at least one of the lakes around Christchurch, for kayaking and family escape with no noise . (Small beautiful lake )

Visited here in late August for a picnic. It was a stunning day! Be sure to bring wind proof layers though, certainly makes sitting on the lake side much more enjoyable. Definitely worth the drive from Christchurch!
