Fly with skiplane and helicopter for Mount Cook sightseeing. Beautiful and sunny day.
Had a brief stop in to see what the tours were like, but alas too expensive despite having glacier hikes to stops and a few companies to choose from. Used the toilet facilities too then stood up on the second floor balcony to marvel at what was to come by the time we get to Mt Cook. Didn't seem to be all too much else in there or outside besides a place where could picnic
Awesome flight onto Tasman glacier.
This is the place from where all scenic route seaplane tours and glacier walk helicopter pick and drop happens. From the building 4 different companies operate. You will see many helicopters and taking turns to pickup and drop the tourists arrived for different activities. This is around 5 km from Mt Cook village.
Nice airport, spectacular location. Well appointed and very clean. Ski planes and helicopters operate from here doing sight seeing flights and glacier landings.
