Great airport and great facility, BP AvGas and Jet A1. Public bathroom by hangar gardens, its cool to see air airport so close to the beach. Long Runway, IFR Procedures, PAL. Hertz and Thrifty Rental Car. Sounds Air Flights.

Flew from Westport to Wellington. Small friendly airport but don't expect too many services apart from checking in. They did have a small vending machine and a book shelf of reading material while you were waiting.

Serving as a link between Karamea to the north and Greymouth to the south lies Westport Airport. It's a relatively quiet place on the west coast of south island in New Zealand. On approach to land it felt very surreal to witness the runway so close to the beach and one can easily feel the same while taking off. I would really recommend tourists to get their camera gear especially if they have plans to capture a beautiful sunset.
It's alright but too many planes. I think that if you got rid of all the planes this place would be a cool place to go. 1/5.
