An excellent place to stay! Hosts are very friendly, dinner & morning breakfast was excellent! The food is reasonably priced. There is a mini tennis court & TV with a lot of DVDs. There is no reception at this place, but there is fast unlimited WiFi! Highly recommend!

Spent one night at a campsite at Porters Lodge, and it was pure bliss. I am not sure what this place would be like during peak times, but we had it all to ourselves, and it was amazing. The sights and sounds on the mountain, the clean yet rustic feel of the cabin, and the friendly faces made for the perfect experience. Keep it up folks.
Stopped the night in our camper van. Great spot, awesome views, peaceful. Had a drink in the bar last evening and sat outside for lunch today. Nice walks and many tracks for mountain bikers.
Great value park up spot. An unpowered site for our caravan cost 15 (2 people). Menu selection is limited but very tasty, well presented and good value. Nice beers and wines too. Unlimited showers at no extra cost, with bathroom facilities open 24hrs. Thanks for hosting us Rupert!
Go for the Nectaron IPA. So good. Had a beef burger too which was absolutely delicious. Facilities were very clean, just the space between the showers is a bit weird in men’s bathroom but not that big of an issue. The view is amazing from the camper van park Had a great time here and will probably come back in winter !
Fabulous stop on our boxing day search for snow 2020... almost found some too. Lovely staff, great meal and a roaring fire! Just what we needed
My husband and I were kind of stuck around the area due to a very cold unexpected weather that blocked us from doing some hiking. We found the Alpine lodge and absolutely adored it. Fantastic staff, amazing food and warm temperature inside.
This spot is heaven! Do not skip it! Totally worth the little detour off the main route. Affordable and absolutely breathtaking. And a special mention to the amazing food and service! The food is delicious! And if they say there's homemade lemon meringue, the correct answer is : YES PLEASE! So chuffed with this discovery. Stayed here for 2 nights during the Valley Ultra this weekend. Super friendly warm and homey. #notsponsered #justthatgood
