I have competitors alarm here at home, for near on 20 years now.
Recently it came to my attention that my security company, is trying to get me to buy a brand new alarm system, expensive at that, as my current alarm is faulting, and ready for the wastetaker basket/bin, according to that company. I think when I bought it, it was suggested that it will last me out. Maybe, to be fair, twenty years is a good run, or maybe, I'm not meant to be here still. HeHe.
Anyway, that said (& note Dutch surname) it's hard for me, as a Kiwi too, to discard before trying to fix or replenish same. I remember as a young lad, the NZ slogan... Try it now & also Give it a Go KIWI. However, sadly (without names herewith given) my security company are not considering this option. Strange really, but this company, seem to be looking at this option. I'm not going to say, that ultimately they'll be perfect, as, as a Christian I believe no one is perfect, but so far, this company gets my vote, and I don't want any Prizes for same, / this initial appraisal.
They now are to anoint my old alarm system, with calibration to set mine, to their own. Been told today, by Alarm Solutions (Christchurch) it needs new battery. Enough said.
Please keep up being Kiwi, there to help, but there to be paid too, for the service.
