Ben is an amazing and inspiring tutor. My daughter lost interest in learning the guitar from trying with several different tutors but once we had found Ben she was loving play guitar again. He very quickly assessed where she was at and had her challenging herself to learn more difficult pieces in no time. We are sad to see him go and wish him well in his new adventures. We thoroughly recommend him to all who wish to learn, have fun, and be inspired.

Ben has a natural ability in being able to connect with his students, and to not only teach them at their level, but to encourage them to believe in themselves. Our daughter has been learning the ukulele and guitar with Ben for two terms, and we are amazed at how quickly Ben has been able to establish a rapport, and bring her up to a level where she is able to read music and play with confidence. Ben is very easy going, encouraging, organised and has a genuine desire to teach his students. Choosing Ben as your next music tutor will be one of the best musical decisions you will ever make! Ben is absolutely the best, he has taught my daughter guitar for about 5 years in Nz and she has enjoyed every lesson, he is very patient and kind! My daughter is very sad to see Ben move to Australia, if she could she would fly over every week for her lessons! Best of luck with your future Ben!

I'll say it straight off, Ben is amazing. He has helped me fulfill a lifetime ambition to learn to play the guitar. I'm in my 50's now and thought that the opportunity to learn what seemed like such a complicated instrument had passed me by. I thought I'd give it a go before I gave up completely on it. Through his encouragement and patience, coupled with his measured approach to challenge me along the way, I just can't believe how far I've come.The enjoyment I get out of it now is everything I imagined it would be.

Ben has taught my daughter (15) for the last 2 years. When she comes home playing songs like Blackbird or early Clapton, and old blues standards I absolutely love it. Got a bit freaked out when she came home with Mary had a little lamb, Stevie Ray Vaughan, I told her that was pretty cool but she just shrugged and took the guitar into her room and learnt the guitar line to Shallow and some Billy Eilish song by ear. Great teacher, focused on what she wanted to learn but also gave her reading skills etc.

Ben is a great teacher and I highly recommend him. He is encouraging and patient and his teaching studio is clean, comfortable and quiet, providing an ideal environment to learn in. I started lessons as a beginner wanting to explore different genres and styles. Ben was incredibly accommodating, having appropriate material ready for me at every lesson. As well as fun and inspiring, the lessons are also very affordable. I find myself looking forward to my guitar lesson every week!

Our son has been learning guitar since the age of 8 first through his school and then with another teacher. We only came across Ben 18 months ago when we felt our son had lost interest in playing. His previous teacher was difficult to follow and didn't inspire him. After the first lesson he was inspired again. Ben was able to quickly establish where he was at and where he needed to go. He now looks forward to his lessons each week and always come home motivated to learn. Ben allows him to choose his own music and they often play along together. Whilst the lessons are a lot of fun Ben doesn't let him cut corners and as a result his technical ability has dramatically improved. Ben has a lovely, respectful and easy way with young people and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to any other parents looking for a teacher.
