Beautiful river views , Riverside market is right next door so you choose your feed and sit watching people boat down the river with the views of the bridges statues and nice flowers around I love it

Absolutely beautiful landmark. We had a nice day to have a quick walk around here. Lots of stalls available that offer fast food and desserts. In general I enjoyed feeeding the eels. Must visit while.visiting Christchurch.

Besides the architecture and the obvious significance with respect to history and honouring kiwis that fought in past wars, It's a really cool place to hangout with the river and all the food places around. With the riverside market, it's obviously turned into THE place to hangout. Parking might be an issue though as even on Sundays there seems to be a crowd and parking on nearby streets are time limited
