Good for kids
A good steep fast walk (or fun in my case). Best to go earlier in the day as it is in the shade later in the day. Challenge - try to run up without stopping, took me a while

Bridle path track is a bit steep and challenging. But fun the views are amazing. You can see lyttleton port from the top. Two and half kilometers. Takes about an hour.
This was a great walk, but steep the whole way and lots of loose rocks on the path. View at the top is worth the wait though! Easy access to the gondola Cafe for a free water which was a welcome relief
Good walk with beautiful views. Quite tough if you're unfit. Wear trail shoes if possible so you don't slip.
