Would not recommend this company for a building inspection. We engaged Buildqual for a building inspection and received an extremely brief and inaccurate report which missed many major issues, resulting in a huge cost to us after purchase. Did not attempt to find man hole and look at the subfloor. Subsequently when listing to sell the purchaser used the same company and inspector and received a completely different report, picking up on many issues which were present and overlooked when we brought. Very unhelpful and dismissive when we tried to contact Buildqual regarding this inconsistency and issue. We did not raise this at the time of our inspection in 2017 because we accepted we decided to proceed with house sale and we should have asked you to do a re-inspection- especially to look at the sub floor. However we were first home buyers and inexperienced with the industry. Any work we have subsequently done has been carried out by a licensed builder and was to remediate issues not picked up on. The house is in a much better standard than when had our report done. We could not let this go when the purchasers happened to use your company again and got a vastly different report. We were disappointed you would not at least refund our inspection fee. I understand it's difficult to get negative feedback but I would not want this to happen to anyone else, especially a first home buyer.

We recently used BuildQual for a pre-purchase inspection as part of buying our first house, and found their service to be excellent. Rob was very friendly to deal with and organized the inspection for us with the Real estate agent. The report was very thorough and easy to understand. We also needed an EQC form filled out for insurance, and this wasn't a problem. We had the report back very promptly, which with a rapidly approaching deadline was greatly appreciated. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend BuildQual to anyone needing an inspection done.
