Performances of a wide range of music in the most beautiful Town Hall.

Four stars for the music and two stars for the Isaac theatre Royal. Beautiful building. However have just been there for the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra "last night of the proms" concert, we were seated in the Grand circle. i.e the very back top. However, it was stifling hot and sticky up there plus, the even worse was to get to the top floor one could ONLY take a lift. Now there was a sell out crowd and we had to wait a long time to get up to our designated floor. Not having stairs is an ABYSMAL oversight. I would never again attend an event there if it meant sitting in the Grand circle. A real shame for a wonderful night of music by the CSO. One other plus side is that the refresment bar was very organised and had helpful staff.
