I would never use these guys again, the bottles are expensive the annual "rental" on the bottles is also expensive and unnecessary we are already paying 150 per bottle any way, we have had several bottles "freshly supplied" that have only lasted 2 - 3 weeks when they normally last 8-10 weeks. when we have complained we got told our usage must have increased but gave us a 20.00 discount on the next bottle. DON'T use these guys.

Every bill there is an increase in price. They are now 40 per bottle more than other companies. I do not recommend them.
Worst gas supplier I have ever experienced so I cancelled my account and now they owe me a refund. Have tried for months to get my money back but the thieves keep sending me their form which I have returned multiple times... but still no sign of my refund. Now they won't even reply to my emails. DO NOT USE
I do not recommend ElGas Christchurch at all. They have increased their bottle prices so that they are 150 Incl. PER bottle, and have increased their annual rental fee to 136 Incl. If you're going to go with a 45kg gas cylinder delivery company - I suggest KiwiGas. Locally owned company and their 45kg gas deliveries are 112 Incl. per bottle and 85 Incl. Annual rental charge. I started with ElGas maybe 1 year ago - as per my emails the bottles were 110 Incl & annual rental was 120. I have had 4 prices increases in that 1 year since I joined ElGas. Seems a little suspicious/odd to me? Gas at record low prices - yet they keep increasing pricing. Odd.

terrible experience by after leaving their service for nearly 18 months I just found they still deducted 136 from my bank account for bottle rental then I searched my bank record they charged me last year too as I left their service 18 months ago!
It is ALWAYS difficult getting through to speak to someone when phoning. Often no-one answers the phone or if the answering service does happen to pick up calls, sometimes my messages aren't always passed on. Also, unfortunately their office is now in an out of the way suburb so difficult to call in to pay my account in person.
Been their customer for a few years now. Never had any problems. Easy online system to use for paying bills or ordering new gas bottles.
