We were lucky to have a beautiful day for a great experience. Our pilot was very friendly and kindly agreed to a slight variation to the usual route so we could see our home in Corsair Bay from the air. My only small criticism would be some of the pilot's casual comments.We are not nervous people, but the comments about the age of the helicopter, having just told us it was one of the infamous Robinsons, then his comment that he does more paperwork than flying these days did not exactly inspire confidence. We were quietly amused by the comments and they did nothing to diminish our enjoyment of the flight but others might have been quite stressed by the idea that they were flying in an old helicopter, well known for falling out of the sky by someone who does little flying. The pilot's obvious skill and professionalism made his throw away lines into the jokes they were intended to be, just suggest he could think more carefully about his patter.

Had a wonderfull ride didn’t realise how big Christchurch city is. Thanks to our pilot she was pleasant and very helpful in explaining the sites we flew over. It was a great experience and belated birthday present from son and his wife thank you.

Thanks Matt and Jono for a safe and awesome outing for my 50th birthday surprise which was so much fun and I'm glad we had awesome pilots like you both who made our day tremendously fabulous and what an excellent day it was, sunny, humorous, the food & wine, the farm tour but most of all.....THANK YOU AGAIN JONO and MATT, you both are an asset to GCH with such knowledge, attitude and your warm hospitality from the start to the finish of our fabulous chopper ride to Akaroa with my daughter.
