Hitch is doing more excellent job than we expected, it’s my first time to use local car rental (compared to Avis etc). The Camry we rent has good condition to drive and we spend 8-days happy journey with it. I recommend Hitch, we drove aprox. 2500km in South Island and we pick this car in Christchurch. It is your eco choice to travel, condition is good but it is not very clean inside when we picked it up. At the end, I have to say, it’s a very good choice and don’t really need to worry about it as small company.

I don’t typically take the time to write reviews but after doing A LOT of research on rental car companies and reading endless reviews while planning our own trip to New Zealand, I thought I should pay it forward and write a review. We had a great experience with Hitch. The price was very reasonable (600 for a month in November with unlimited mileage and zero excess) and they provided us with a Mazda 3 that was in excellent condition. We had zero problems with the car or the car rental company (which is exactly how you want it to go). Definitely would recommend their hassle-free and smooth service!

Yes quick pick up, however we flew out on a Sunday and the drop off place was very hard to locate - no street number. Also we had "lost the car key" there is no 24/7 assist, and when I called Sunday morning the lady said 'you need to sort out a key yourself' I said ye sthat may be the case but what if I can't before we fly out, she said try and call me back later.....VERY unhelpful. The car was also substandard, brake made grind noise when applied and muddly / dirty inside.

Welcomed on arrival at airport by friendly female driver and taken to the rental depot nearby. Introduced to our vehicle and paper work dwelt with quickly and pleasantly. On our way as a very happy trio. Will be very pleased to hire from Hitch again. Graham
