We visited this lovely home on a Sunday afternoon walk and found it even more beautiful, historic and interesting than expected. Our 10 year old son was a reluctant guest but the staff really engaged him and he was happy for nearly an hour doing an activity sheet, looking at the gardens and dressing up in clothes from the era.

Loved this place so informative and well presented. Atmosphere so respectful of her work and personhood. Also shows such respect for the subsequent women who have shown the way for women today. Great place to remind us of our heritage!!!
Anyone interested in New Zealand history, this home is a must see. Superbly presented, with committed and knowledgeable staff.
