It is a good concert venue, the sound carries well and good viewing from most seats. Front row upstairs has almost no view as there is a bar the length of the seating at your eye level. The seats behind are fine as they are higher. Access to the seats is goods and the toilets are fine. There is a problem with the setting of the air conditioner. Today it was 30 degrees in Christchurch but was so glad I had taken my woolen rug as the upstairs was very cold. The stairs a wide and easy for young people but a lift is required for older people. Parking is well planned and wardens to help makes it easy. But it is best to go really early and park in the street.

We held my husbands funeral at La Vida and I would highly recommend the venue. Adrian helped make sure the musicians and caterer had everything they needed including early access on the day. We were able to live stream the funeral and so record a copy of the entire service. I was blown away at the quality of the recording, with multiple camera angles, videos played at full screen and just a really professional feel. The whole event ran so smoothly thanks to the La Vida team.
