My review concerns the services provided by Lamb and Hayward almost 4 years ago. There is absolutely no doubt that Lamb and Hayward have deserved the rapport and kudos of absolute excellence, they have with the Canterbury community. The director we had, Linda from the Burnside branch was superb at her profession, she was extremely competent at her job and had the perfect balance of listening to our needs but also taking charge where we really needed it especially as at some points of the funeral planning we didn't feel like having to think or make a decision about something and so Linda would promptly and conveniently just take care of it for us. The entire process of planning the funeral was smooth as can be, everything was organised for us and we were well informed about all elements along the way. After the funeral and cremation, lamb and hayward kindly stored the ashes for us for as long as we felt ready to have them back in our possession (which was actually a year). The hand over of this was absolutely professional and caring as well. Even after they have your payment for their services the company still wants to know about you and still cares for you long after the actual funeral event. Being invited to the Christmas memorial events they hold every year was also an especially nice touch for the continued care Lamb and Hayward show in their clientele and their families long after they have provided the funeral.. Thank you very much for the entire team at Lamb and Hayward, for all they do with professionalism, passion and caring.

We cant thank Lamb and Hayward enough. Right from the first contact, we were put at ease. It's a very confusing time and the team made it as easy as possible. Excellent communication throughout. Right from the beginning with our funeral director Anne. Then to our wonderful celebrant Justine, through to our last point of contact, Amanda. Our mother was treated with grace and respect as were we. Very professional and empathetic. Highly recommended.

I have been to a number of funerals for Lamb and Hayward and this company has been nothing but totally professional. They have fabulous facilities and will cater as best as they can for friends and family. Lamb and Hayward are a well established and well respected funeral service.
At the most important and emotional time of our lives we were entirely let down. Unprofessional celebrant (the female owner) and many things done without our consent or knowledge. Beautiful venue but unfortunately our experience has entirely ruined our future experiences at this place.
Every person whom I had contact with at Lamb and Haywood were beyond professional. They were genuinely caring, empathetic and kind. What I would have expected to be one of the hardest part of losing a loved one, was made, almost easy. Stephen Parkyn especially, took on a personal role to help me through a very painful time. I will be eternally great full. I would recommend the services of Lamb and Haywood, without a doubt.
