This was my first experience with renting a motorcycle after many long expeditions on my own bike. It was a very positive experience. The best way to see NZ is by motorcycle (weather permitting). Nigel the owner was extremely helpful and the bike was in perfect condition. The bike I had booked was damaged in bad weather before my arrival. Nigel cheerfully replaced it with a better one, which performed faultlessly. He also ferried me to and from the Christchurch airport - above and beyond the call of duty. Altogether, a great experience and one I hope to repeat.

Clinton and I rented 2 bikes for a short 3-day ride to the west coast and Akaroa. The bikes were faultless and very well maintained. They ran like brand new bikes! Nigel is very kind and provided us many great suggestions of routes and accommodation. The best thing of all is, he picked us up and dropped us off from where we stayed in Christchurch. That saved us lots of hassle getting around the area with luggage. Among all the motorcycle hire shops around the world I've encountered the past 3 years, this is the best I ever had. The terrain in south island New Zealand is absolutely stunning and great to experience via 2 wheels. I highly recommend Nigel's Motorcycle Rentals for people who want to have a full taste of NZ riding experience!

I came to Nigel for a three day bike hire. The bike, a BMW F650 GS was in excellent condition and the service provided was impeccable. We were picked up from our accomodation at a requested time and dropped off after the hire. The rented gear was sturdy and as rain resistant as it comes. The bike itself has a cool history that I'm sure the owner would love to tell you about. The business is as professional if not more than the bigger hire companies. With the added benefit of helping small business owners. Our only gripe was the land of the long black rain clouds. All 3 days were wet and miserable and not conducive to riding. To which Nigel responded by extending our hire free of charge. The perks of working with owner operators. When the sun finally came out so did we. Although he could not control the weather he certainly made sure we got our moneysworth Cheers. See you next year

Thanks for the ride. KAWASAKI KLR650 Second time rental of a bike and once again the service and bike Nigel supplied was FIRST CLASS,from the pick up at airport,checking of all the equipment and bike through to the drop off back to the airport. Had similar experience to Bryce. I dropped the bike, my fault. Damage was minimal and knew it wouldn't be the whole 2500 deposit. Happened in February. Asked for receipts of work done. Eventually he stopped replying to emails. Took him to disputes tribunal to get some of my deposit back. Finally got some money (500) back in July after having to go through courts. Bike was very good but any damage and he will try to take all your deposit. Be warned.

I hired a motorcycle at extremely short notice (as in less than 24 hours)and Nigel went out of his to way to make things happen. It was the middle of winter and despite not being in Christchurch at the time by the next afternoon the bike was ready to go with a new road worthy certificate. The bikes are only a short trip from Christchurch and Nigel makes things easy by picking you up and dropping you off to where you require.

Awesome service and good maintain bikes. Look like it was bran new went I pick it up so clean. I took the BMW f 700 gs up through molesworth station and back down to Akaroa awesome 3 day trip. Will definitely do it again.
