If you want to taste some delicious food, want to try various flavors of curry, and feel the painstaking effort of the chefs, then this restaurant will be for you. The food in this restaurant is delicious and the service is attentive. Thanks again to this restaurant.

I can say that this is most authentic INDIAN Restaurant outside India. The owner has given very much interest in maintaining the ambience and overall feel of India. The small details like sound of train in the wash basin area and artefacts is just awesome. And more importantly let me say that food was so good that I wish to give it 10 out of 5 rating. Very tasty food. I was informed that owner is Gujarati but not sure. (Please contact me if you are reading this review). I was having all of my meals at this restaurant for the whole 4 days when I was in Christchurch.

Food was awesome. This place was recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed . Pav bhaji and prawns were well enjoyed. Cocktail list is a variety too. The toilets impressed me with the setup.

Food was pretty good.. quite pricey though compared with other quality Indian restaurants. Glad we had a first table booking

The decor is uniquely different to other Indian restaurants I have been. The cocktails had exotic names, lots of ingredients but they all ended up being very sweet ( not to my liking). The squid bhaji was crunchy, savoury and yummy. The lamb the rest of the family had looked authentic and my husband confirmed it was very tasty. My son thought that the chicken biryani was okay. All in all a wonderful evening and a memorable dinner.

I came here with my aunts and mum for dinner and really enjoyed it! my house dal was amazing and the atmosphere was amazing, service was good. we had a first table booking for 3 and i tagged along at the end but they tried to charge me for a naan and starter along with my soup. after explaining im gluten intolerant and that all I ate was the soup finally after getting the manager it was resolved

Food was delicious, the service was not good enough, although the restaurant was partially empty we were sat at a corner, then we had to wait a long time for them to take our order, they reminded us SEVERAL times about what was not included when you purchase a ‘first table’ voucher which btw we already knew and paid in full for what was not included with it, no questions asked! But they’re ways to deal with this; you guys certainly made us feel unwelcome because we used a promo voucher. You guys are missing the point of those things; people go the first time and LIKELY come back with friends or family based on the previous experience, and then you can charge full price!!! If that was the reason of the bad service. Finally, if you don’t like people using First Table or similar, well, do not offer it! Thanks
